What Modern Insider Threats Look Like
We tend to focus so much on external cybersecurity threats that we forget about insiders.

We are excited to announce that SolCyber made CRN’s list of The 10 Hottest Cybersecurity Startups of 2021. CRN is a leading technology news and information source for solution providers, IT channel partners and value-added resellers (VARs). In the round-up, we were praised for our curated tech stack, streamlined security tools and services, affordable coverage, and our work to reduce cyber risk, inefficiencies and complexity.
In assembling their list of the 10 hottest cybersecurity startups of 2021, CRN looked at cybersecurity companies addressing everything and anything, including discovering legacy and modern APIs, revealing threats and business abuse hiding inside APIs, securing and controlling access to sensitive data and resources, and reducing cyber risk, waste, and complexity through managed services.
The list identifies the 10 best and brightest startups in the global cybersecurity space that have been founded since 2020, have secured at least $4 million in outside funding and that stood apart from the pack as the result of partner initiatives, key product enhancements, or major updates.
The companies on CRN’s list are lauded for solving security challenges such as preventing data breaches on SaaS applications, discovering and inventorying cloud and on-premises systems, and identifying potential vulnerabilities, risks, and gaps in customer infrastructure before an incident occurs.
SolCyber was founded in 2021 and closed a $20 million Series A funding round led by ForgePoint Capital in July. We help companies scale by providing foundational and effective cybersecurity coverage and acting as a true cybersecurity partner.
We are honored to be listed among the 10 hottest cybersecurity startups of 2021 and thank CRN for this incredible accolade.
The threat landscape is changing fast, and small and mid-sized enterprises (SMEs) are as vulnerable as Fortune 500 companies — even though they lack the $1B security budgets. Many MSSPs chase these huge security budgets, so SMBs are left in the dust or wind up with partial coverage that leaves gaps in their defense system. SolCyber is taking a different approach.
Rather than providing ad-hoc security based on a company’s budget, we provide the minimum effective dose of security to every client without getting caught up in the latest security buzzwords or unnecessary products. Our team of approachable humans works with SMEs to ensure they feel confident in their coverage despite the evolving and seemingly ominous landscape.
SolCyber offers SMEs affordable, comprehensive, and curated tech stacks that include endpoint with EDR capabilities, lateral movement detection, advanced email security and active directory and admin exploitation prevention, backed by a team of approachable security experts. Our simple per-user pricing means any business can bolster their cybersecurity resilience with minimal effort, and fast.
Our goal is to provide the right coverage at the right price with the right level of support, so you wind up with a solid, not bloated tech stack that keeps your business resilient. Curious to find out more? Get in touch!

If you work in a large organization with an extensive attack surface, you might have considered establishing a security operations center (SOC) for more dedicated monitoring and response. Establishing a SOC makes sense for enterprise organizations that face constant threats, handle sensitive and high-value data, and/or have large and complex infrastructures. Such organizations include financial institutions, healthcare organizations, government agencies, high-profile companies, large entertainment companies with A-list celebrities on their rosters, and massive e-commerce companies. For these organizations, a SOC […]
